NORTH Wales Police are asking motorists to take extra care when parking in Overton, Wrexham.
Following reports of inconsiderate parking, drivers are being asked to be mindful when parking vehicles.
Police have received complaints of pavements and dropped kerbs being blocked.
A spokesperson asks: "Please park safely and legally to keep our roads safe. Inconsiderate or illegally parked vehicles are a potentially dangerous street obstruction which can force pedestrians to walk along the road to bypass those vehicles.
"This is especially problematic for pedestrians who are blind or visually impaired, wheelchair or mobility users, people with pushchairs, the elderly and the emergency services."
As an alternative to enforcement, police are leaving safety information leaflets with cars parked inappropriately.
Overton is being monitored more closely as a result, with further instances resulting in fines for those continuing to park in this manner.
