ONE INDIVIDUAL is soon set to be banned from Flintshire pubs, the Pubwatch team has decided.

Pubwatch schemes are local, independent groups formed of people working in licensed premises.

The main objectives of the groups are to:

  • Tackle and prevent anti social behaviour and criminal activity
  • Promote safe drinking environments for customers and secure working environments for staff
  • Improve communication and sharing information between licensees

Members of the Flintshire Pubwatch team held their latest monthly meeting last week.

It was decided that one individual will be banned from the county's pubs soon.

That follows on from six other people being banned after the meeting held in August.

This month's meeting was held at The Black Lion in Buckley.

In attendance were staff from; The Blue Bell, The Black Lion, The Blue Anchor, The White Lion, The Griffin, No 32, Mold, The Gold Cape, Y Pentan and DMS Security.

Apologies were also received from The Horse and Jockey, The Nant Inn, The Red Lion and The Ruthin Castle.

The Pubwatch team said: "One individual was put forward for a #Pubwatch ban and this was agreed by all members unanimously . This individual can look forward to a banning letter dropping through their letterbox any day now.

"The next Pubwatch meeting will be held on Tuesday 24th September at The Horse and Jockey, Buckley at 10:30am. If you are a local licensee and would like to join the scheme, please come along."
