A POPULAR food and drink event in Wrexham, set to take place next week, has been postponed by organisers.
Wrexham Feast was set to be held at Waterworld car park from September 20 to 22.
The event, which is now into it's third year, was due to have a host of food and drink vendors in the city centre over the course of the three day festival.
However organisers, Fair Event Management, have confirmed that that they have made the "difficult decision" to postpone the event.
Wrexham Feast will now take place from May 23 to 25 next year. All ticket holders are set to be contacted by organisers.
A spokesperson said: "After extensive discussions with local and national authorities, as well as other key stakeholders and family members, we have made the difficult decision to delay the Wrexham Feast.
"This choice was not made lightly, but we feel it is essential for ensuring that Wrexham Feast continues to grow and evolve into the large-scale, dynamic event that it has become known for with a healthy team at the planning helm.
"Postponing allows us to further develop the festival to continue supporting local and national producers, champion Welsh food and drink, host talented artists from across the UK and Europe, and provide an even wider range of family-friendly activities.
"This postponement will ensure that Wrexham Feast can return with the scale, quality, and experience that our traders, performers, and visitors deserve.
"We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from our wonderful traders, performers, Wrexham County Borough Council and the Welsh Government during this challenging time.
"While we are disappointed that we won't be celebrating all things food and drink later this month, we firmly believe this decision is in the best interest of everyone involved—especially you our valued visitors.

"The Fair Event Management team is hard at work moving exhibitor bookings to our new festival dates and planning new and exciting demonstrations and entertainment for an even bigger and better festival.
"In the meantime, Wrexham still has plenty of exciting events to look forward to, including Oktoberfest’s, Halloween celebrations, Markets and workshops whilst not forgetting four magical weekends of Christmas festivities including the Wrexham Christmas Light Switch-On, Chirk Frost Fair, and Wrexham Christmas Market and Winter Festival to name a few.
"We know this postponement may cause inconvenience, but we want to assure you that every effort is being made to make Wrexham Feast on 23rd—25th May 2025 the best yet. Please bear with us as we manage the logistics, and don’t forget to mark the new dates in your calendars.
"All ticket holders are being contacted individually through the e-mail addresses they have booked through and tickets for the new dates have been made available.
"We want to thank you for your understanding and continued support during this difficult and upsetting time, however we can’t wait to see you in May 2025 for the best Feast for the senses yet."
