TWO friends are taking on a cycling challenge in aid of a Wrexham hospice
Avid cyclists Samantha Hughes Lloyd and Jo Nicolson, will be heading to Cuba for the Nightingale House Hospice fundraiser next month.
They will join about 10 other riders in a 230-mile ride, taking place over five days, starting in the capital, Havana.
Samantha, 41, from Chirk, who cycles about 100 miles a week, said: "We did Vietnam to Cambodia for 2019 for Nightingale House. When I saw the trip to Cuba advertised, I jumped at the chance again, to not only raise money for this incredible charity but to be taking part in something I am so passionate about.

"Although I do not have a personal connection to the hospice, I know many people who have and have heard their incredible stories about how wonderful the hospice is.
"You just never know when you might need the help of a hospice."
Jo, from Wrexham, added: "This is all to help raise money for Nightingale House Hospice and the vital funds they need to keep running such an amazing service.
"My dad had wonderful care from Hospice at Home provided by Nightingale House. Many people will also have been touched, through the support and facilities Nightingale House Hospice have provided for their family and friends."
The pair fly out on Saturday, October 12, and set off on their Cuban challenge the next day.
