EMERGENCY services were at the scene of a crash on the A55 in Flintshire.
Traffic Wales said the incident happened eastbound between J32 Holywell and J33 Northop on Friday afternoon (September 6).
Traffic officers and the police were on scene at the incident - which sparked heavy congestion in the area for a couple of hours.
Witnesses have taken to social media to state that the incident involves a car towing a caravan.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported: "Queueing traffic due to earlier accident on A55 North Wales Expressway Eastbound before J33 A5119 Northop Road (Northop). Congestion to J32 (Holywell).
"Traffic is also congested on the opposite side back to J33A (Northop Hall West). All lanes opened at around 1.05pm, however the delays remain."
The crash has since been cleared and traffic is easing.
