THIS was the terrifying moment a masked robber pulled a 'gun' on a Wrexham garage worker and demanded cash.

The Leader reported on Thursday afternoon how Corey Li, of Tudor Avenue in Rhostyllen, was jailed for a robbery which took place at the Esso Garage in Rhostyllen.

The 23-year-old, who entered the garage with an unidentified male, produced an imitation firearm - later revealed to be an air gun - and pointed it in the face of staff member Richard Wright.

North Wales Police has now released CCTV footage of the terrifying incident.

Mold Crown Court heard the men made off with cash, cigarettes and E-cigs to the value of almost £1,200.

But when police reviewed CCTV footage of the crime, a local officer "recognised the defendant by his eyes, particularly his eyebrows."

He presented himself at a police station shortly thereafter.
