A FLINTSHIRE football club has unveiled its brand new 200-seater stand this week.

Holywell Town Football Club has shared pictures of its new seating area at the Bartons North Wales Stadium.

Despite being JD Cymru North champions last season, the Wellmen missed out on promotion to the top-flight due to licensing issues.

Johnny Haseldin's side beat the likes of Flint Town United (who went up in their place) to the title.

Now, following that disappointment, the club has installed a new 200-seater stand to ensure that their home ground on Halkyn Road is on the right track of being up to tier one standard.

Elite Stands UK have put together the seating area made up of red and white seats.

Club chairman Simon Rose said: "It was clear following the Tier 1 licensing process earlier this year of what our ground development goals needed to be.

"The first part of this has now started with the completion of our fantastic new stand built by and in conjunction with Elite Stands and with the grateful assistance of the Welsh Ground Improvement Grant via the FAW.

"Without these initiatives projects like this would not be possible and we look forward to working with the FAW in the near future to assist in our longer term programme of development at the Barton’s North Wales Stadium.

"We are also grateful for the support from Dependable Concrete and Brook Storage who provided the materials for the base and special mention must also go to our invaluable ground volunteers Ray, Lee and Pete who provided the necessary skills and muscle to form the concrete base."

Holywell Town currently sit second in the JD Cymru North table (correct at time of writing), having won four of their opening six fixtures of the 2024/25 campaign so far.
