Schools across Wrexham county are being monitored for inappropriate parking which the council will assist with.

A police spokesperson said: "Now schools are opening back up could we please remind you to park appropriately and give yourselves enough time to do this as we appreciate how busy it can get outside of schools.

"Please do NOT park causing any obstructions which include blocking driveways, parking on double yellow lines or zigzags, parking on a bend or junction, or parking on the pavements/blocking pavements.

"Thank you for taking the time to read this, schools will be monitored and we will also asking the local authority to assist with enforcement for those who choose to ignore this advice.

"Parking causing an obstruction puts roads users and pedestrians at risk especially children during school times."
