My Pear-shaped life by Carmel Harrington

My Pear-shaped life by Carmel Harrington

My Pear-shaped life by Carmel Harrington

Greta Gale is a plus-sized woman and has played the part of the funny fat one her entire life, hiding her insecurities behind a big smile. She's been living under the illusion that size doesn't matter when you can laugh at yourself.

Then one day Greta realises that she's the only one not laughing, and deep down, she's not sure if she'll ever laugh again. After a life-changing event, and with the help of her beloved Uncle, Greta embarks on an adventure of a lifetime that helps them both.

Greta discovers that she's much stronger than she thought, and that sometimes the best moments in life come when it's all gone a bit pear-shaped, and the key to being happy is to be yourself. This book is funny, emotional, heart-breaking and uplifting. There's a lot about Greta's character that many women could relate to. Julie
