AS the Paralympics get underway in Paris, two Flintshire athletes are preparing to represent Great Britain.

The 2024 games began in the French capital on Wednesday (August 28) and there are 22 Welsh athletes set to compete over the next few weeks.

Deeside AAC’s Sabrina Fortune, the world record holder, will be competing in the F20 shot put.

After claiming Bronze in Rio and finishing fifth in Tokyo, could this be the year the world record holder gets Gold.
