A FLINTSHIRE animal rescue centre is appealing to the public to find two beautiful dogs their forever home.

Almost Home Dog Rescue, based in Mold, provides a safe haven for abandoned dogs before uniting them with their new home and owner.

It also aims to support and educate the next generation of dog owners to prevent an increase in the number of pets being carelessly neglected.

Anyone interested in the following pups should fill out the adoption form here.

Meet Koda

You might recognise Koda, he was Spiro! Sadly, the adopter had to bring him back to Almost Home due to increased working hours.

He is now housetrained, good with visitors, crate trained and head collar trained. He is one happy, young, cheeky lad!

Koda is a happy go lucky type of boy. He is very switched on and needs an active home. Someone willing to put in the time and effort needed for this lad to blossom into the fab dog we know he can become.

He is great with people and other dogs. He will bark back if they react to him. Koda does everything a normal puppy should and shouldn’t do. He loves his food, playing and cuddles.

This lad is still learning his manners and socials skills but there’s no malice in this boy. Just young and full of character and life. He has a larger than life personality! He also walks well and adores going in the car.

Koda has loved exploring and going to new places. He has been amazing with everyone and everything he met so far! Koda was brilliant at the vets, he took everything in his stride. He adores all the attention he gets, he laps it all up. He has passed a full health check, started his vaccinations, been flead / wormed and is now neutered.

This lad is going to be so much fun for someone but he needs structure, routine and plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Koda is hopefully ten year plus commitment. He needs an adopter who’s willing to put a training plan in place and follow it, in return you’ll have a new best friend.

Meet Mia

This girl is heartbreaker, she’s in Almost Home due to a very sad situation which has resulted in her being in kennels and isolated for a long time.

When she arrived she was in a mess and had not seen much of the world recently. More details will be given at a later stage of adoption.

Mia is a nine-year-old husky who’s been a super star since arriving in our care. It’s clear she’s not seen much of the world and needs some confidence from her handler.

Since arriving, Mia went in to kennels and did really well. She has been great with all volunteers and the other dogs in our care. She especially enjoyed all the cuddles from our volunteers.

Mia is good in the car and fab at the groomers. She definitely looks and smells a lot better! She has started to play and is really starting to decompress and trust. Everyone’s fallen for this gentle girl.

Mia walks well on lead and enjoys being outside in the garden pottering. She’ll make a great companion for someone, she makes her foster smile hourly!

This lady needs a calm and relaxed home, filled with love - A place to call home. She could possibly live with other dogs or/and dog savvy children or visiting children. She is desperate to find her forever home.
