MUSIC fans won’t want to miss incredible music coming to Theatr Clwyd this autumn.

Acoustic Tones (September 4)

Acoustic Tones will showcase some of the best emerging singers and songwriters performing mellow tones and acoustic vibes - all powered by bikes.

The event will be harnessing the kinetic energy of the audience with pedal-powered lighting to ensure the event is zero-carbon, atmospheric and fun. Come on a journey to shape the future, be enlightened by acoustic performances and illuminated (literally) by riding one of the electricity-generating bikes.

There will be three acts performing at this event. Thom Morecroft has been described by founding editor of Mojo & Word Paul Du Noyer as "charming and addictive" and BBC Introducing's Tom Robinson as "leaving you reaching for the replay button".

ME and Deboe are Mercy Elise and Sarah Deboe. They are a critically acclaimed duo known for their electrifying live performances and intricate harmonies. Golden Fable are Rebecca and Tim Joy. Rebecca’s beautiful, haunting vocal takes the centre stage, whilst multi-instrumentalist Tim creates the layered musical textures beneath.

Stepping back in time with some joyous singalong tunes to take you back to your Primary School days. You won’t have to sit cross legged on the school hall floor, but you will be encouraged to sing along!

As well as the assembly bangers, there will be other musical surprises, throwback mashups and comic reflections on growing up in the 90s.

With a career spanning over 20 years Meinir Gwilym’s true and honest songs have an ever-popular appeal, and her live performances always seem to replenish the soul whilst reaching the heart.

When asked to describe her music, Meinir says ‘I’m a singer-songwriter; I just use the inspiration given to me to create. I’m not really a ‘genre’ kind of artist.’ Her latest release, Caneuon Tyn yr Hendy (2023) was met with much critical acclaim and seems to have developed a somewhat cult-like following, amongst young and old alike.
