A FUNDRAISING page has been set up to support the family of a one-year-old from Flintshire battling a brain tumour and rare form of cancer.
In July, Jay Andrews and Ania Jones' daughter Kita Mai was rushed to Alder Hey Hospital after a scan had found a mass on her brain.
Kita, who is only 14 months old, then underwent an urgent operation on her brain, which discovered a brain tumour and was later diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
The family, from Hawarden, have since been in and out of Alder Hey, with countless surgeries and in the last few weeks Kita has undergone chemotherapy treatments.
As Jay, Ania and Kita continue to battle and stay positive through the most "unimaginable" time, friends of Ania have set up a JustGiving page in a bid to ease the stress and pressures faced.
The fundraising page has already raised almost £15,000 of a £25,000 target and can be found by clicking here.
The page states: "In a four week timeline Kita has already undergone multiple brain surgeries, a number of procedures involving anaesthesia, a lumbar puncture, experienced weight loss, undergone physio, has been referred to a cardiologist, faced multiple MRI & CT scans, has had a PEG tube fitted and faces a six month chemotherapy protocol; this list is not exhaustive.
"While she’s shown incredible strength and resilience, the road ahead is still long and uncertain.
"Our very close friends Ania and Jay are facing an incredibly challenging and heartbreaking situation. We’re reaching out to anyone who can help this amazing family.
"The medical expenses, time away from work, and the general costs of life during such a difficult time are adding up quickly. If chemotherapy is unsuccessful, the family are also looking at potential treatment options abroad, which would incur significant financial costs.

"By coming together, we can help ease their financial burden so they can focus entirely on what matters most—being there for Kita and providing her with all the love and care she needs.
"Please consider donating to support Kita and her family. Any amount, big or small, will make a significant difference and will be deeply appreciated. If you’re unable to contribute financially, your thoughts, well wishes, and shares of this page are just as valuable.
"Thank you for standing with Ania and Jay during this incredibly tough time. Together, we can help lighten their load and surround them with the love and support they need.
"Ania and Jay are already so grateful and appreciative of the love and kindness they have received."
