THE CAUSE of a fire which damaged a Ponciau home is unknown, fire chiefs have said.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call just before 9pm on Monday reporting the incident, in Chapel Street.
Two crews attended the scene; one each from Johnstown and Wrexham.

A spokesman confirmed the teams used two hose reel jets, a main jet and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the flames.
Nobody was injured in the incident, and the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
The fire service spokesman added 25 per cent fire damage and 100 per cent smoke damage was caused to the upstairs part of the building.
