GOLFERS have clubbed together to raise thousands of pounds for children's hospices

Ewloe-based Anwyl Homes organised a charity golf day, at Portal Championship Course in Tarporley, raising more than £3,500 for Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Children's Hospices.

The homebuilder teed up 72 golfers who took part in 18 teams of four, including Anwyl staff, subcontractors and suppliers.

Iain Murray, construction director of Anwyl's North Wales and Cheshire division, said: "As a family-run business, with many of our staff parents themselves, we appreciate the important work of Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Children's Hospices and the role they play in the community.
