THE team at a North Wales animal rescue centre is looking for new homes for their adorable residents.
North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR) have cats, dogs, horses and some smaller animals, all hoping to find their forever home.
The staff and volunteers at the Trelogan-based charity, in Flintshire, know the animals as individuals, and therefore know what kind of home they are more likely to thrive in.
Whether it's a dog, cat, rabbit or horse, staff are on hand to advise on the character and suitability of each.

They also make sure potential new owners are aware of the ongoing costs of a pet, including food and vet bills, which can often be for unexpected treatment.
But thankfully there are plenty of responsible, loving people and families looking to give an animal a loving new home.
And there are always animals of all types, ages and needs that will be the perfect match.
Here we meet just some of those at NCAR looking for a new home...
• For more details, please visit ncar.org.ukor if you would like to support the charity without adopting, you can visit their cafe, open from 10.30am to 3.30pm. They also accept donations at the centre between 10am and 4pm.
• 12-year-old Jack Russel Basil is a sweet boy who has sadly been returned to us due to his owner's ill health, after being in a home for 10 years. He is now looking for his new forever home where he can live out his days being spoilt. He is a friendly boy who enjoys human company, he is easy-going and enjoys just spending his days chilling and pottering around in the garden. He is looking for a quiet home as this is what he has been used to but has always been okay with visiting children. Sadly Basil does not like other animals and can be reactive to dogs and cats when he is out and about walking. He is looking for a home where he will be the only pet and with people who will keep him safe.
• Snow is a beautiful tabby and white kitten that arrived with mum and siblings after being found as a stray. Snow has been in a foster home where she has had loads of handling and grown up in a family environment resulting in a well socialised kitten. She could go to a home with children over five years of age. Snow could live with an existing cat providing introductions are done slowly and she has a room of her own away from the cat to start with. Once she is old enough she would like a garden in a safe area away from busy or fast roads.
• Eight-year-old collie/lurcher cross Socks is a really sweet lad who came into our care with his friend Buddy due to no fault of their own. Socks is a friendly boy who enjoys meeting new people and getting lots of attention. He is still an active lad who loves nothing more than running around and chasing after tennis balls. He unfortunately hadn't been walked for a long time before coming into us and was very overweight but he has been on a diet and he is now looking much better and is maintaining a healthy weight. He can be strong on lead when he wants to be but he has been trained to walk on a gencon which definitely makes him more manageable. Socks is friendly with other dogs and has been off lead with a variety of different breeds and sizes, he definitely has the potential to be rehomed with a compatible dog. He has also been around children and can be rehomed with sensible children 6+.
• Three-year-old Leo is a gorgeous black cat that came in to the rescue as his owner was homeless. He is a really friendly lad who loves to be stroked and will sit on your lap at night. We are looking for a adult home or older teenage children. Leo would like a garden to explore in a quiet area roadwise. We are looking for him to be the only pet in the house. Leo is not fond of other cats in his garden.
• 18-month-old Staffie cross Naveen is a stunning boy who came into us as a stray, unfortunately nobody came forward to claim him so he is now looking for his new forever home. He is a really sweet boy who is very affectionate when he has bonded to you, he can be a little bit aloof with new people but it doesn't take long to win him over. He likes to lean on you and get lots of fusses. Naveen walks well on lead and loves to be out and about exploring, he would make a great adventure buddy for someone! He is looking for a home with sensible children 12+. We have introduced him to several dogs during his stay with us and he has interacted with them politely but can be a bit unsure if they get too excitable, we will be testing this further whilst he is here. We do feel that he has the potential to live with a compatible dog as long as the introductions go well here at the rescue. Naveen enjoys being off lead in the paddock pottering about and is really food motivated which will definitely help with his training. He walks well on lead but can be strong when he wants to be.
• 10-year-old Cat is a lovely girl who is looking for a new home, she came into our care after her owner sadly passed away and has been with us for a few months now. She is looking for a fairly quiet home but is used to being around visiting children of various ages and did like them. She has lived with a Staffie before, so can be rehomed with a cat-friendly calm dog as long as sensible introductions can be done. Although we were told she was only six-years-old, we think she is 10 years or older. Cat likes a fuss and is very food orientated. She would like a garden to explore once she has fully settled in.
