A Cheshire Oaks store is to close its doors this week after the fashion chain behind it collapsed into administration earlier this year.
Authentic Brands Group, which bought Ted Baker in 2022, said that No Ordinary Designer Label (NODL), the company which trades as Ted Baker, had built up “a significant level of arrears”.
Ted Baker, which has an outlet on the McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, walked away from the AARC deal in January after it claimed its partner had failed to meet its promise to inject cash into the business.
Now it has been confirmed all remaining Ted Baker shops in the UK and Republic of Ireland are expected to shut down by the end of the day on Tuesday (August 20), after the company behind the fashion chain collapsed into administration in March.
More than 500 jobs are at risk as a result of the closures which will see its stores disappear from high streets.
Locally, that includes the one at the McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.
