A FLINTSHIRE man is set to brave the shave after his 21-year-old fiancée heartbreaking cancer diagnoses.

Hannah Jones, from Mold, was given the devastating news last week that she has acute myeloid leukaemia - a rare and aggressive form of the disease.

Hannah, mum to two-year-old Noah, and three-month-old Daisy, has gone to Christie cancer hospital in Manchester - where she is set to undergo treatment for the next eight weeks.

Her fiancé, Liam Tattum, is set to brave the shave in order to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support at this difficult time.

The 23-year-old is having the head shave on August 30, and has already raised over £1,200. To donate to the fundraiser, please visit https://bit.ly/46ShYeX. A GoFundMe page has also been set up to help support Liam and Hannah at this difficult time. It can be accessed via https://bit.ly/3YP2037

Liam said: "We're obviously just absolutely speechless when finding out the diagnoses. Hannah had her bone marrow test on Tuesday and we were expecting results back within two weeks, the results we were expecting were for it to be aplastic anemia. For the hospital to then call us on Thursday asking to go in and giving us the news, at first we both thought we misheard to doctors due to it being completely out of the blue.

"Hannah is a one in a billion mum who was put on this planet to raise our kids, the best kids in the world, nothing will ever be too much for her no matter what. Noah was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes just three weeks ago and despite not knowing anything about it she has took it in her stride and smashed it out of the park and is more or less an expert at it already."

He added: "Despite the daunting road ahead, she remains strong and hopeful for her future and the future of her young children. Her focus is on beating this disease."
