NORTH Wales Police have issued another reminder to all Wrexham residents following recent reports of cold callers in the area.
Police are asking everyone to be cautious around individuals knocking on your door offering work to your property.
A spokesperson said: "We always recommend that if you're thinking of having work done, whether it's work to your roof, cleaning your guttering, pressure washing your driveway, then do your own research online so that you are confident you trust the trader you're using.
"It always helps to ask friends and family if they've got any recommendations for trader's that they've already used and were happy with.

"If you accept offers of work from someone at your door you will always run the risk of work not being done to your satisfaction. Also be cautious if they ask for the money upfront - you leave yourself open to further risk of financial loss if you pay this way.
"As always if anyone knocks on your door asking if you want work done and they become pushy / aggressive, then close the door and if you feel threatened please call us."
If you have unfortunately experienced this recently and haven't already done so, please contact the Wrexham Council Trading Standards Department.
