THE Maelor School, Penley are celebrating after achieving "outstanding" A-Level results.
Students at The Maelor School picked up their A level results on Thursday morning (August 15) and their hard work was reflected in "outstanding" grades.
Around 32% of all grades awarded were A* or A grades, more than 60% A*-B and more than 80% at A*-C.
Director of Sixth Form, Penny Ellwood said “An outstanding year group, they have been an absolute delight to work with, thoroughly dedicated to their studies, enthusiastic about learning and supportive of each other.
"It’s so delighted to see them achieving the required grades to move on to their university course of choice or higher apprenticeship.”

Headteacher Simon Ellis commented “Year on year The Maelor Sixth produces some of the highest A level standards in the area.
"Whether the pupils started at Maelor School from year 7 or joined us at 16 from a different school, they have shown they not only have achieved some superb grades but have developed together those supportive skills that will stay with them throughout their lives.”
