Students at Ysgol Maes Garmon achieved "excellent" grades.

Eager students at the school in Mold picked up their A-Level results on Thursday (August 15) following months of hard work.

Headteacher, Bronwen Hughes and Head of Sixth Form, Aled Owen heaped praise on the "fantastic group of young people" that picked up their results on yesterday.

Amongst the school's top performers were Joseph Jones and Megan Ruck. Both students achieved 100% A*-A in their subjects.

Headteacher, Bronwen Hughes said: "I'm delighted for all our Year 13 students!

"They have achieved excellent grades enabling them to move on confidently to the next stage in their education or training. Their secondary school career was marred by Covid lockdowns and restrictions, but this talented group of young people have shown resilience and worked hard to achieve their best grades.
