WREXHAM University is preparing to welcome hundreds of potential students to its upcoming open day, taking place this weekend.
The event, taking place on Saturday, August 17 between 10am-2pm, will give prospective students an insight into university life, as well as find out what undergraduate degree courses, as well as postgraduate courses, are available to study at Wrexham University.
During the day, there will be a host of subject specific talks, campus tours and presentations on what it's like to study at Wrexham, funding, accommodation and more.

Helena Eaton, director of marketing and recruitment at Wrexham University, said: "We are looking forward to welcoming potential students and their families to our open day this weekend, where they will be able to see what courses we offer, the exciting opportunities available and to get a feel for what life and study is like in Wrexham.
"Clearing is currently open until mid-October, so it's a good time to come and see us, and find the perfect degree course for you, if you are currently working things through. Our friendly teams will be on hand to help and provide you with the information you need to make the right choice for you.

"Clearing is geared towards prospective students who have a range of different circumstances, so is a great opportunity for them to find the course that suits them.
"For example, those who have completed their A-Levels or BTEC qualifications but have had a rethink about what they'd like to study, or achieved higher grades than anticipated - or even people, who have been out of education for a while and are wanting to embark on a new career.
"Come along and see us this week - we can assure you of a fantastic Wrexham welcome."
