HOLT Community Gardeners has been awarded a grant from the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund to support green energy production.
A £3,800 grant has been awarded to Holt Community Gardeners to support their aims of increasing green energy generation and storage, enhancing new wildlife ponds and procuring additional equipment for gardening activities.
The gardening group was awarded the UK's biggest community competition award 'Britain in Bloom' last year, and are determined to keep spaces greener than ever moving forward.
Previous grants including from the agency Cadwyn Clwyd have funded solar panels and wind turbines.

A spokesperson for the group said: "We believe we are the only community gardening group in the country who generates our own green energy and this award will enable us to increase how much we produce and the amount of electricity we can store.
"This in turn will power our various kinds of electrical equipment. The fund is being administered through Wrexham County Borough Council."
The group was founded in 2019 following a conversation between local residents Bob Campbell and Peter Bostock.
