A POPULAR cafe based in Flintshire has revealed the finished refurbishment as the business expands.

Owner Rob Lowe opted for a drastic career change when he left his role as a car salesman to open a bustling cafe in the heart of Mold.

After 21-months of successful trading, Caffi'r Cob has expanded the business to appeal to existing and new customers.

Extending into the unit next door, the cafe now has a more spacious seating arrangement, including sofas and a bar dedicated to Welsh wines and spirits. It will open to the public on Wednesday, August 14.

It has adopted a Victorian style inspired by bright colours and antique-looking accessories, making it a unique dining choice for Mold residents.

The change comes after Rob was left no choice but to turn customers away during busier periods, a decision no business owner should have to make.

The next improvement stage will be to upgrade the cafe further into an upmarket salad and sandwich bar featuring a wall dedicated to Welsh produce such as jams and chutneys, all with the support of Welsh Food Hub Blas ar Fwyd.
