A WREXHAM cafe was once the must-meet destination for youngsters in the area.
Sam's Cafe in Acton, proved the place to be for many, and was hugely popular with groups of bikers.
The venue closed is the early 1970s but memories of its ice creams and milk bar live on.
Members of the Leader's Local Bygones group on Facebook, have shared their recollection of the cafe, owned by Sam Jones...
Alison James: "Used to love going there, had the many flavours of milkshakes written round the walls from strawberry to sarsaparilla, cola to dandelion and burdock and many many more. Wonderful ice cream flavours too, which flavoured the milkshakes, served in half or pint heavy-handled glasses."
Arnie Williams: "Loved a milkshake there great jukebox. Many great memories."
Judith Breese: "Brilliant place to hang out."
Angela Jenkins: "Sunday afternoon. Banana milkshake and listen to jukebox! The place to be. Bikers outside were all great."
Paul Chelsea: "My wife, Ann, used to go on a Sunday for an ice cream and her dad used to have a pint in the big chunky pint glasses with a handle. Good times."
Karren Walker Anderson: "Best milkshakes ever. So many different flavours too. Ice creams were amazing as were the milk lollies. Used to get ice cream on the way home from school. Such happy memories."
