HOLLYWOOD star Michael Sheen has been pictured holding up the shirt of a Wrexham-based club he previously helped out.
Back in March of this year, the Welsh actor donated £5,000 to FC United of Wrexham.
Run by Andrew Ruscoe, diversity thrives at the football club, with teams ranging from under-six girls, under-eight and U13 boys, and a women's side, to men's futsal, fostering an inclusive environment that champions gender equality and youth development.
All of that though, comes at a hefty price and - at the time of Sheen's donation - the club had been fundraising to try and raise £12,000 to keep it afloat.
The club said that the money donated by Sheen would be used towards buying kits for their under 13s and women's teams.
Over the weekend, Sheen showed his support for the club once more as he was pictured holding up its standout purple home shirt.

Sheen - star of films like The Queen, the Twilight series and Midnight in Paris - is not the first celebrity to be pictured with the club's shirt however.
Wrexham AFC co-chairman Ryan Reynolds was pictured sporting it back in May 2023.
Both Ryan and fellow Reds chairman Rob McElhenney have also donated money to FC United of Wrexham in the past.
The question posed by the club now is; "1st it was @VancityReynolds then it was @michaelsheen but who’s next ? We are open to suggestions!"
