WREXHAM AFC fans are being urged to hold a minute's applause today (August 10) in memory of a 'generous man' and dedicated fan of the club who has died.
Reds supporter Bromley Hooson died suddenly at the age of 87 years old on June 26, at the house he had lived in in Caergwrle for over 60 years.
His funeral, held on July 18 at Pentrebychan crematorium, saw hundreds of people - all dressed in Wales and Wrexham shirts - attend.
Mr Hooson was also driven past the STok Cae Ras ground on his final journey.
Now, his family are appealing for Wrexham fans to hold a minute's applause in memory to him at the club's EFL League One match v Wycombe Wanderers tonight (5.30pm).

Posting to the Wrexham AFC Fans Chat group on Facebook, Mr Hooson's grandson Daniel Parry said: "Good evening Wrexham fans. As some of you are aware, we lost a long term season ticket holder during the summer. My Taid, Bromley Hooson."
He added: "I am asking if we can show this great, generous man one final act of respect at our game on Saturday. I'd like to honour him with an applause in the 65th minute if people would please join me.
"I've chosen the 65th minute because the last wedding anniversary for him and my Nan (Joan, the other great love of his life) was their 65th. It would mean the world to us if we could do this please. Many of his family will be present."
