David Davenport, aged 41 and of Bron y Waun in Chirk, was sentenced for trespassing in proximity of railway or on railway property on February 1 this year. The charge stated that at Chirk Viaduct north end, he trespassed upon the lines of Network Rail Wales. The defendant was also sentenced for causing obstruction to an engine/carriage using the railway on that occasion, by walking along the tracks. Finally, he was sentenced for possession of amphetamine. He received fines of £50 for the drugs offence, £50 for trespassing on the railway and £50 for obstructing the engine/carriage. The defendant must pay £250 for the obstruction offence, in addition to £85 costs.

Alistair Pinches, aged 32 and of Holly Drive in Penymynydd, was sentenced for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour at Nottingham Railway Station on October 28 last year. The defendant received a 12 month community order, with a four year football banning order and 150 hours of unpaid work. The court also ordered the payment of £85 costs and a £114 victim surcharge.

Nenko Nenkov, aged 33 and of Derby Road in Wrexham was sentenced for drink-driving, which took place in Derby Road in July when he was found to have 106 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the limit being 35. The court handed down a 12 month community order with up to 10 days of rehabilitation activity and 140 hours of unpaid work. The defendant was banned from driving for 26 months and must pay £85 costs, as ell as a £114 victim surcharge.

Jamie Evans, aged 42 and of Brynisa Road in Brynteg, was sentenced for numerous offences including: driving without insurance x 2, theft from shop x 2 involving the taking of sandwiches, noodles and a drink from Asda and Londis and making off without payment x2 which involved taking diesel. The defendant received a 12 month community order with up to 10 days of rehabilitation activity, fines totalling £200, costs of £85 and compensation in the sums of £3.52, £15.26, £15.48 and £3.74 for the making off and theft offences.

Daisy Cupit, aged 23 and of Llay New Road in Llay, was sentenced for drink driving, which took place in July at Chester Road in Gresford and involved her having 78 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath; the limit being 35. The court banned her for 20 months and issued a fine of £360. The defendant must also pay £85 costs, as well as a 144 victim surcharge.

Tomasz Mielnik, aged 45 and of St Johns in Wrexham, was sentenced for being drunk and disorderly in Dolydd Road, Wrexham, in July this year. The court issued a fine of £60 and ordered the defendant to pay £85 costs.

Jack Mason, aged 34 and of Newmarket Rise in Llwyd Onn Park, Wrexham, as sentenced for one offence of possession of cannabis in July. The court handed don a fine of £200 and ordered the defendant to pay £85 costs, as ell as an £80 victim surcharge.

Paul Loose, aged 33 and of City Road in Chester, was sentenced for four counts of theft from shop, all of which took place in Wrexham for goods to the value of £52.45, £50, £27.95 and £33.56 respectively. The court handed down a custodial term of 16 weeks - but suspended it for 12 months. The defendant must undertake rehabilitation activity for up to 15 days and pay compensation for the stolen goods, as well as £85 costs.
