Magi Ann visits the library
Magi Ann is the protagonist of a series of stories for children, and she is now one of the favourite characters of young children in Wales. Magi Ann loves visiting children and families at community events all over the country to share a story or two and sing some of her favourite Welsh songs. Come and say hello and join in the fun with the Menter Iaith Flint and Wrexham sessions on Monday, August 19 at Wrexham Library at 10.30am and Rhos Library at 1.30pm. The sessions are free of charge and suitable for younger children, so why not come and join in the fun!

Amser Drwg Fel Heddiw gan Iwan Meical Jones
Llanrwst adeg yr Ail Ryfel Byd yw lleoliad nofel gyntaf Iwan Meical Jones, Amser Drwg fel Heddiw.
Y prif gymeriad yw Dr Lewis Huws, meddyg y dref. Wrth ddarllen amdano down i sylweddoli beth oedd gofynion cynnal practis cyn sefydlu'r Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol: cleifion yn talu i weld y doctor, talu am foddion a thabledi, ac yn aml y doctor ei hun yn cymysgu'r ffisig – y ffisig pinc bondigrybwyll a roddai, o bosib, wellhad corfforol ac yn bwysicach, esmwythder meddyliol. Apphia Davies yw howscipar Lewis, dynes â'i bryd ar drefnu bywyd ei bòs. Ac mae gwir angen trefn arno. Mae Lewis Huws yn berson simsan na all wneud penderfyniad ar ei grogi. Weithiau mae'r ffaeledd yn ddibwys – pa fath o wy i frecwast – ac weithiau yn ddifrifol megis canlyn a dewis cymar. Yn eironig, ei wendid ef sy'n rhoi cryfder i'r nofel ac mae agwedd ddi-dda, ddi-ddrwg y meddyg yn rhoi sawl plwc annisgwyl i'r naratif.
