The top 10 attractions in Wrexham are:

1. Pontcysyllte Aqueduct - The aqueduct is the UK's longest and highest canal, situated in Trevor near Llangollen in North Wales.

Built in 1795, the attraction is one of 26 cast iron aqueducts in the UK and part of the country's vast canal and river network.

You can go for walks along the canal and see amazing views of the Dee valley. 

2. Erddig - The National Trust regularly host a variety of different fun-filled events at Erddig. 

If that's not enough, a walk through the gardens or the surrounding areas could suffice. 

3. Xplore! - The science discovery centre based in the city centre has a host of fun and educational exhibits. 

Tickets cost around £8.40, with discounts for families. 

4. Alyn Waters - Another country park with a variety of different walks, there's also a park and playing field area for the kids to play. 

5. The Plassey - Based near Bangor on Dee, the Plassey boasts a number of businesses, from the campsite, to coffee shop, golf course and swimming pool. 

There's plenty to do to pass the time on the retail site. 

6. St Giles Church - St Giles is Wales’ largest Medieval church. It is a member of the Major Churches Network, an informal group of around 600 churches in England and Wales including, amongst others, Tewkesbury Abbey and Beverley Minster.

It is also one of the seven wonders of Wales. On the first Saturday of the month, the church hosts climbs, giving people the chance to climb to the top.
