When and why did you take up photography?

As part of my A Level Fine Art course I undertook a photography project where I was able to develop my images in a dark room.

From this, I really enjoyed combining my love of painting and photography - I really do love a good composition!

Then when I was at university I met Phil, my husband, and he has not only encouraged me to continue working on all my arts and crafts projects as well as teaching me the ins and outs of photography.

When he went self employed in 2021, he trained me up to be his second shooter, and now we are lucky enough to photograph weddings together.

What do you love about taking pictures?

I love capturing moments in time - the joy of weddings is that you learn and observe people's interactions and relationships, they are events where family and friends get together to really celebrate.

Obviously there's the wedding to capture but you never know when an event could be the last occasion you have with a loved one.

Ensuring these important moments and events are captured for future generations is such a huge privilege to do.

Where is your favourite place to take pictures?

This is a tricky one as I have so many favourite venues! But I'd probably say either Highfield Hall or Tower Hill Barns. Both really great venues where couples can put their stamp on their wedding day.

I use Sony mirrorless cameras.

What do you enjoy about being part of the Leader Camera Club?

I enjoy the Leader Camera Club as we are able to support and learn from each other.

If you could photograph anyone or any place who/what would it be?

To be honest I'm not after a specific venue or person, I'd just like to photograph our amazing couples at their dream venues.
