AN inquest has been opened into the death of a man who fell from a bridge on the A483 in Wrexham.
John Haselden, of Harlequin Close, Farndon was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the incident on the morning of July 30.
At County Hall in Ruthin on Monday (August 5), an inquest was opened into the 73-year-old's death.
The inquest opening heard that North Wales Police had responded to calls they had received regarding an incident on the A483.
Despite the best efforts of members of the public, Mr Haselden died at the scene at around 9.30am
John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, said that a pathologist gave the provisional cause of death following a post-mortem examination as chest and abdominal injuries.
A full inquest has been adjourned until a later date.
