WREXHAM Council is pleased to announce that due to the success of the current offer of free trading at the Monday Market, the offer has been extended to the end of December.

Since the free trading period began at the beginning of June there’s been a lot of interest from local and independent traders and visitors to the market have increased.

The initiative applies to current and new traders in an attempt to support the local outdoor markets, as well as growing the city centre market offering.

Cllr Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Economy, said: “We launched this initiative to help support our local outdoor market traders, as well as to grow our city centre offering and it’s proved very to be very successful.

“Traders have appreciated the help we have offered and visitors have appreciated the variety of stalls that are now present in the city centre every Monday.

“It’s now important we continue to support all the city centre traders and the extended period of free trading will bring more and more visitors to see for themselves how the city is changing and what an excellent mix of independent traders we have here.

“I’d like to thank all councillors and officers who have helped and worked behind the scenes to grow the market.”
