NORTH Wales Police have issued safety advice after receiving a report of a burglary in the Gorsedd area, Flintshire.
As a result of the burglary, the local Neighbourhood Policing team will conduct additional patrols in the area.
Flintshire residents are being advised to follow general crime prevention advice below to help reduce the chances of becoming victim to a similar incident.

Physically check that all doors and windows and closed and locked when leaving the house unoccupied.

Ensure that valuables aren't within eye sight of windows (watches, mobile phones, tablets).

Consider installing a video doorbell for the front door so it can monitor movement outside of your property.

Consider purchasing CCTV to cover all entry and exit points of the property.

Consider investing in security lighting to again cover all entry and exit points on the property.

If you have a garage, consider purchasing a “Garage Door Defender” this will prevent the garage door from being prized/peeled open.

Consider using ground anchors and a good quality padlock and chain to secure valuables to one another (Bikes/motorbikes).

-Consider using "Immobilise", a free online property register which is used by multiple Police forces across the UK. The National Property Register, for Phones, Gadgets, Bicycles etc.

Consider purchasing SmartWater to forensically mark your belongings.
