TRIBUTES have been paid to an 'extraordinary musician' who 'touched the lives of many'.
Dave Simons died aged 64 years old on Tuesday July 23, following a long term ilness.
Born in Wrexham, he was best known for having run Dave's Music Centre in Buckley and being lead guitarist of rock and blues band Hozz, along with friends Danny Shone and Mark Fowler.
An obituary from his family posted to the Leader website described Mr Simons as a 'man whose life was filled with passion and music'.
That added: "He touched the lives of many as the owner of Dave’s Music Centre and as a dedicated guitar teacher.
"On 23rd July, 2024, our hearts were shattered by his passing in Buckley. We have lost an extraordinary musician, but more importantly, we have lost a beloved husband, dad, grandad, brother, uncle, father-in-law and friend."
