WREXHAM AFC is reminding fans that its home ground is now a 'cashless venue' ahead of today's (August 3) friendly.

The Reds will be taking on Fleetwood Town at home this afternoon ahead of kicking off their EFL League One campaign next weekend.

Phil Parkinson's team have spent most of pre-season over in the USA, taking on the likes of Premier League clubs Bournemouth (1-1) and Chelsea (2-2).

But, today they return home to north Wales and fans are being reminded by the club that the home ground is now a completely 'cashless' venue, with card transactions taking over.

They added that this was in order to 'improve speed of service'.

The club shop however will still accept both card and cash payments.

In a statement, Wrexham AFC said: "We can't wait to see you all back at home tomorrow (July 3).

"In order to improve speed of service on a matchday, the STōK Cae Ras is now a cashless venue."

Please note, the Club Shop will still take both cash and card."

Wrexham's EFL League One season starts next weekend when they take on Wycombe Wanderers at home (Saturday, August 10).

Today's friendly v Fleetwood will kick-off at 3pm at the STok Cae Ras.
