POLICE have recovered a cash box stolen in a burglary at a Flintshire church.

North Wales Police recently appealed for information following a burglary at St Mary's Church in Treuddyn.

Thieves stole the collection box, which contained donations, and officers believed this will 'likely' have been disposed somewhere locally once emptied.

On Friday (Auguat 2), police said that following information from a member of the public the stolen cash box has been recovered and is currently undergoing forensic testing.

A South Flintshire policing team spokesperson said: "Additionally we have had a number of names put forward for those responsible for the burglary - if it was you expect a knock at your door and a ride in a police car very soon
