A MAIN road was closed off by police in Wrexham city centre yesterday following a collision (Thursday, August 1).
The incident took place on Regent Street where a pedestrian was apparently struck by a van.
Emergency services including North Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service were called to the scene shortly before 11.15am.
A police spokesperson said: "We received a call at 11.11am today (Thursday) reporting an RTC involving a pedestrian and a van.

"Officers attended along with colleagues from WAST and the road was closed whilst the incident was dealt with.
"The road reopened at approximately 12.10pm."
People were advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
Further details on the individual's injuries have not yet been confirmed. The Welsh Ambulance Team has been approached for comment.
