A DREAM family business will sadly close this month following the owners passing.

Namaste Wales Holistics located on Castle Street in Llangollen, north Wales, will close its doors to the public on August, 27.

The announcement comes after the passing of owner Marjorie Featherstone and her husband, Alan.

Daughter Hannah Featherstone has admitted to finding their loss too difficult to continue the much-loved business which opened in 2017, and will instead create a website to move it online.

The shop had always been Marjorie's dream, says Hannah.

"She had wanted a shop of her own reflecting her passion for crystals, reiki and readings. And so with my help she launched Namaste Wales Holistics after we all moved to Llangollen 22-years-ago.

"The shop went amazingly well and I was so so proud of her. She did reiki treatments and her readings while I managed the till downstairs selling stock."

Sadly, just two-years after Marjorie opened the business, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and passed away four-months later at home.

After that, Hannah took over the shop with her Dad Alan to keep the dream alive - a promise they both made to her.

The shop has become a favourite among locals and tourists, selling a vast-range of crystals, candles and meditation tools.

However, in June this year Hannah unexpectedly lost her Dad.

Alan had been working full-time as the head of Cardiology and Respiratory at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. He had worked there for 22-years and had been retired just one month before he too sadly passed away.

"I have been running the shop for years now and have made so many wonderful friends and memories here", Hannah continued.

"I’ve thoroughly enjoyed running the shop it really helped me through the loss. The business still means the world to me."

Due to her overwhelming grief, she has now made the difficult decision to close the shop for good.

A website is being launched soon so that Hannah can continue selling to regular and new customers in the future. All in her mum and dad's memory.
