A COLLABORATION to promote local attractions and sustainable travel this summer has been launched.

The team-up is aimed at promoting attractions and experiences along the railway lines from Chester to Shrewsbury to Crewe, 3 Counties Connected Community Rail Partnership, as well as sustainable travel in the region.

By partnering with Destination Management Organisations (DMOs), This is Wrexham, Visit Shropshire and Marketing Cheshire, key attractions and experiences have been identified that are easily accessible from railway stations, whether by foot, cycle or bus.

Central to this project is a newly designed, user-friendly pocket-sized map, created by the talented Nick Thompson of Lemondrop. Each DMO have launched dedicated webpages, providing in-depth information about the attractions featured on the vibrant and visually appealing map. This handy map is available at railway stations between Shrewsbury to Chester and Shrewsbury to Crewe and make a perfect travel companion for both visitors and residents. Digital versions of the map are also available to download from the 3 Counties Connected website and their DMO partner webpages.

The launch of Three Counties By Rail coincides with Transport for Wales Big Days Out summer promotion, with deals on rail tickets for families and at selected attractions.
