SIX PEOPLE are soon set to be banned from Flintshire pubs, the local Pubwatch team has decided.

Pubwatch schemes are local, independent groups formed of people working in licensed premises.

The main objectives of the groups are to:

  • Tackle and prevent anti social behaviour and criminal activity
  • Promote safe drinking environments for customers and secure working environments for staff
  • Improve communication and sharing information between licensees

Members of the Flintshire Pubwatch team held their monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 31.

And, it was decided that six individuals should be banned from premises' for their behaviour.

A statement from the team read: "Six individuals were put forward for Pubwatch bans and all were agreed by the attending members.

"These persons can look forward to a banning notice arriving in the post over the next few days.

"Thank you to all the licensees who regularly attend the Pubwatch meetings, and are working together to keep you safe on your night out."

During the previous meeting held in June, it was decided that appropriate action should be taken against an individual who had been 'repeatedly abusive' towards staff. 

That person was also handed a ban.

Premises in attendance for July's meeting were; The Blue Bell, The Red Lion, The Black Lion, The Gold Cape, The White Lion, The Blue Anchor, The Horse and Jockey and The Deadwood Smokehouse, as well as DMS Security.
