READERS have been getting in touch to share their memories of a famous Wrexham landmark that is now up for sale.
Last week, the Leader confirmed that the much-admired Cilgoed, aka 'the house on stilts', has been listed on the property market at a price of £325,000.
Described by sellers Bowen as a 'local icon', the home comprises a highly individual and spacious elevated modernistic house, which is distinctively set beneath a cantilever butterfly roof.
Known locally as "The House on Stilts", the property was built as a one-off design in the 1970's and often catches the eye of passers-by in the Wrexham area.
Since the article was published, readers have been getting in touch with us to tell us their fond memories of the property.
Jason Davies said: "When I was a kid my Taid told me that James Bond lived there. I was 26 before I realised he didn’t!"
Steven Simon told us: "I worked on the flat roof when it was built roundabout 1970."
