Did you know?

Did you know Wrexham Library Service, in partnership with the five other neighbouring authorities across North Wales, share books and audiobooks? Wrexham Libraries Service delivery van travels once a week as far as Caernarfon to distribute pre-ordered books between each authority. On average 3,000 books a week are moved to the main branch in each authority and then distributed to their allocated local branch where they were ordered from. This scheme ensures that members of the public have access to many more titles and that all authorities don't have to purchase expensive copies of the same book. So remember, next time you request a book that is only available from out of county - it becomes part of a scheme that distributes some 150,000 books, 7,500 miles a year to the five authorities of North Wales.

Y Bocs Erstalwm by Mair Wynn Hughes

Peth ofnadwy ydi colli bywyd mewn niwl, a chwilio amdano fo … a methu …. methu ei gael yn ol. Mae Lydia yn gaeth i'r ty yn ystod cyfnod Covid, a'i meddwl yn ddrystlyd. Ei bocs o luniau yw'r clo i'w hatgofion, ond mae rhai pethau'n rhy boenus i'w cofio. Nofel am unigrwydd, am gariad ac am effaith ddinistriol dementia. Mae Mair Wynn Hughes yn awdur dros gant o gyfrolau i blant, pobol ifanc ac oedolion. Enillodd Wobr Tir na n-Og bedair gwaith rhwng 1984 a 2007, a Gwobr Mary Vaughan Jones yn 2006 am ei chyfraniad i lenyddiaeth i blant.
