AN ART exhibition has launched in Wrexham today (July 31).
"Summer by the Sea" has been created by the art groups at the Wrexham Miners Rescue Station, based on Maesgwyn Road in the city centre.
The Miner's Rescue, which aims to capture the stories and memories of those in the Wrexham mining community, has undergone significant restoration in the past 10 years.
The site hosts a number of community groups and support groups and also boasts a community cafe.
Art groups Art4All, Mini Art Buds and TeenArt, are the three art groups that have combined to create the exhibition.
Art4all are made up of adults with disabilities, while the other two groups include the work of children.

All have created designs relevant to a sea/beach theme such as beach huts, mermaids, 3D modelling of sea creatures and more.
The display was opened by The Mayor of Wrexham, Cllr Beryl Blackmore, today (August 31) and will be open for the majority of the summer holidays.
A spokesperson for the Miners Rescue said: "We welcome visitors to come and view the artists' amazing work for a further few weeks.
"There is an on-site cafe, handmade gifts in our shop area also."
