A FLINTSHIRE pub is set to reopen its kitchen with a twist following a four-year closure.
Owned by Flique Pubs, the Hope and Anchor, known locally in Buckley as 'The Trap' is delighted to relaunch the kitchen on Friday, August 2.
The relaunch is in partnership with Juke Burger, serving their menu of 'irresistible American-style burgers' at the pub.
The passionate burger joint was founded in 2022, and works with various pubs and businesses across Wrexham and Talacre. The team includes Victoria Bailey, Shawn Melusi, Jordan Wynn and Rhys Johnson.
Due to previous staff shortages, The Trap was left no choice but to stop all food services amid the second Covid-19 lockdown.
To celebrate the occasion and new initiative, the pub is hosting an event from 5pm with live music, burgers and drinks. Everyone is welcome to pop down and grab a bite to eat.
Owners of The Trap, married couple John and Sophie Hughes said: "We're relaunching the kitchen alongside Juke Burger bringing something a bit different to the local area.
"We’re bringing something new to the community, sort of a street food vibe within a traditional pub.
"We have also proudly won best pub in north wales and Flintshire in previous years including best breakfast in Wales."
A spokesperson for Juke Burgers added: "Our new initiative, the Juke Takeover, sees us identifying ideal pub locations with a strong local following and transforming their kitchens.

"The takeovers allow us to serve up our renowned burgers, fries, and sides, catering to meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegans alike.
"Our latest collaboration is with the Hope and Anchor in Buckley. Landlords John and Sophie, who have won multiple awards for their pubs, are partnering with us so that together we can create a strong union."
John and Sophie took over The Trap about seven-years-ago.
They are thrilled about their new chapter and can't wait to serve the community alongside Juke from this weekend onward.
