A FLINTSHIRE high street is closing to vehicles next week as gas works take place.
Bagillt High Street and Station Road will be closed from Monday (August 5) until August 9.
The area will be to allow Wales & West Utilities to work on upgrading the gas network in the area.
Adam Smith, Wales & West Utilities Programme Controller, said: “We will soon be working in the High Street area of Bagillt to upgrade the gas network. This work is essential to keep the gas flowing safely to heat and power local homes and businesses and to make sure the gas network is ready to transport greener gas in the future.
“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we expect to start our work on August 5 and finish on August 9.
“In agreement with Flintshire County Council and to keep the local community, road users and our colleagues safe while we work, a road closure will be put in place along High Street at its junctions with Station Road and Merllyn Lane. A diversion route will be clearly signposted."
