A POPULAR butchers based in Flintshire has confirmed it will open a second branch in Chester after 142-years in business.
Hulsons has been loved by generations, proving incredibly successful on Wrexham Street in Mold.
After first opening its doors in the town back in 1933, the family business has been going since 1882.
The new branch will be situated at lower Bridge Street in Chester, opening sometime in September, with an exact opening date to be confirmed soon.
Owner John Hulson is managing the store in Mold alongside his daughter Saffron and son Charlie.
Saffron said: "We thought it would be the perfect opportunity to take our family business over the border to Chester.
"We love offering, what we believe, are quality homemade products made by our family using the same recipes and techniques we’ve used for over 100 years.
"We also appreciate that small businesses have become a dying trade in the past, lately it’s so nice to see more and more people opening and taking back hold of what towns and cities such as Chester were once like, and Chester feels like it could become a real small trade community again which would be amazing and we’d love to be a part of that!
