SCHOOL'S out for summer across the region.

This provided the inspiration for another trip down memory lane for the Local Bygones group on Facebook.

We asked members to tell us who their favourite teacher was from their days at school.

It seems there were a few class acts across Wrexham and Flintshire, who made a positive, lasting impression.

Is your favourite teacher named? Here are just some of the comments and teachers named from schools in the area...

Pete Roberts: "Primary school teacher in Gwenfro Mr Glyn Steven Jones. He had an uncanny knack of making a boring subject sound interesting."

John Davies: "Mr Hansen - Acton juniors, David Roberts - St David’s. Both PE teachers who had a massive positive impact on me and many others.

"Always had a good laugh with them but respected them enough to know when to knuckle down."
