KITTENS and their mum which were saved from the Cadbury site in Chirk have been given a loving home.
Whisper, Buttons and Freddo, and their mum Shadow, were recently rescued by Paul Conway of the Candy & Tibby Trust charity after moving onto the factory site.
They had previously been dumped near Chirk train station and had been living feral for a number of months before their rescue.
All four have now been fostered and Mondelēz International, which owns Cadbury, has praised its staff at the Chirk site for their help in rescuing the kittens.
A spokesperson said: "We are delighted the kittens and their mum were able to be rescued safely from our site in Chirk. It was a real team effort from both our employees and the local community from the moment they were first spotted.
“We're grateful for the support from the Candy and Tibby Trust and hope that Wispa, Buttons, and Freddo find a suitable home soon."
Paul Conway said: "Management went out of their way to help me catch them giving me access to the site and we are so thankful to them."
It is lovely that this little family are all together safe thanks to the kindness of the people of Chirk and of the Cadbury factory workers and management looking out for them.
"I just wish people would neuter their cats and stop this suffering of young mums havings kittens in the wild and being desperate for food to feed them."
