A NEW zebra crossing is being installed near a Flintshire primary school.
Flintshire County Council has identified Ffordd Llewelyn, Flint as a location suitable for a zebra crossing facility.
The authority has been successful in obtaining funding to implement a crossing facility that will be positioned near the junction with Maes Alaw and will aid walking journeys to the nearby St Mary's Catholic Primary School.
Flintshire Council said: "The facility will assist with safety concerns relating to access directly to the school as well as benefiting the wider community.
"The usual prohibition of vehicles stopping, waiting, loading and unloading on the carriageway within the areas marked by Zig Zag lines on either side of the crossing will apply."
Objections to the proposal, together with the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by Friday, August 16 2024 or by emailing transportstrategyconsultation@flintshire.gov.uk quoting reference SS/TRO/JB/FFLL/Zebra SCHEDULE New Zebra Pedestrian Crossing to be installed Ffordd Llewelyn, Flint – near to its junction with Maes Alaw.
